“Incredible,
fantastic, beautiful”

“Incredible view, fantastic service, beautifully appointed. The villa gave us lots of space to not feel on top of one another, yet it was so cozy and warm with the fireplace and heaters - perfect to come back to after a long day of skiing or adventure.”

“Beyond
expectations”

“With views to die for, this property was everything it was advertised to be. The right blend of homely so that we were comfortable for the week, and luxury so that we felt we had enjoyed a special treat. The property had everything we needed, washing machine, dryer, fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, a fireplace and did I mention incredible views out over Lake Whakatipu and the Remarkables? The staff were so amazing, so friendly even though the COVID season has hit them hard. We ordered online groceries and they put all the perishables in the fridge for us before we arrived.”

“This place is stunning”

“We discovered this place online when we were searching for a special place where we could feel restored & we were not disappointed.
The uninterrupted view of the Remarkables & lake was spectacular from the living area & bedroom. It was uplifting to be surrounded by so much beauty.
As keen nature lovers we enjoyed looking out on the natural bush & bird life as well & there was even a mistletoe on the property.

Even though there was fresh snow it was so cozy inside with the gas fire & underfloor heating in the bathrooms.A lovely welcome when we arrived with the heating turned on & delicious Seriously Good Chocolates from Southland.

“Excellent
in every way”

“Such beautiful villas and so family friendly. We had absolutely everything we needed during our stay and we loved listening to the waterfall running beside our villa. The villas were the perfect distance for an easy walk into town without the hassle of trying to find parking.


The most enjoyable aspect, other than the amazing forest and lake view, was how quick the staff were when we requested something and how helpful and friendly everyone was - the paper at the front door each morning was a lovely touch as well.

Well worth the money and we will be back again”

“4th stay here and still wonderful”

“My husband , daughter and her partner all travelled to Queenstown in November for the marathon which I ran for my 50th birthday. We stayed at the mistralrise villas for 5 nights and could not fault this accomodation. The staff are very friendly and accomodating right from our first interaction via email. Our daughter wasn’t flying home until 4pm ( due to a late airline flight change ) and mistralrise were so helpful in providing a late check out and storing their bags etc . This is a stunning, clean , well appointed property. I would highly recommend and will be back!”

“7 nights in heaven”

Just spent 7 nights in heaven! Everything was perfect in every way. It’s was immaculately clean and maintained. The villa was extremely well insulated and heated. Gas fire place was a big hit. Smart TV had Netflix and Disney apps. We were traveling with a 6mo and a 3 year old as well as my parents and it was large enough for us to spread out. My older son loved feeding the ducks who visited our patio every morning. It was perfectly located with easy parking directly out the front so easy to get kids in and out. Our return flight was cancelled so we had to stay a night at accom organised by the airline and we really missed the heated floors and heated towel rail in the bathrooms that we had at Mistral Rise Villas.

“Family 40th celebration”

The villas had the most spectacular view. The villas themselves were well set up. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything required. The glass doors looking outside in the lounge room made it feel incredibly serene. Staff were incredibly helpful. 10/10 stay.

“Flawless”

Probably one of the best places I have stayed anywhere. Our alpine view apartment also had glorious partial lake views. The apartment presented as new with luxurious features such as the schist fireplace, underfloor bathroom heating, dual shower heads and Nespresso machine. Extremely clean and very comfortable beds. Reception staff were always helpful and friendly. I could live here forever quite happily.

“One of Queenstown’s true gems”

My wife and I travelled from Sydney with our toddler. From the moment we checked in, Alana made us feel amazingly welcome.

Our villa was immaculately clean, spacious and very tastefully furnished. We stayed in a Lakeview villa which opened up onto a beautiful green lawn and had simply breathtaking views over the lake. It was absolutely magnificent!!

Having visited Queenstown many times in the past, and having stayed at a range of different accomodation, this one takes the cake.

We will be back.
